Georgia Lewis is a folk singer and avid accordionist from the depths of Wiltshire.
Exploring folk tales old and new, she’s a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominee and winner of the Future of Young Folk Award. Classically trained, Georgia studied for her degree in Professional Musicianship at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music and, inspired by singer Sheila Chandra, travelled to India to study singing at the Arambol Music Academy. Despite her various musical explorations she has always been most moved by the folk singers she was introduced to as a child.

Georgia’s been “making a name for herself through really well received concerts” (Julie Fowlis). Her debut album ‘The Bird Who Sings Freedom’ was described as “an impeccable British folk album” (Songlines) and received a glowing five-star review from Rock’n’Reel magazine.
With her “delicately expressive voice” (fRoots), accordion and whistle she has been described as having a “fine musicianship and authentic feel” (Living Trad)

This will be Georgia’s second visit to TwickFolk and we can confirm Georgia’s energy in a live concert setting is hard to beat!
