For tonight’s Singaround, we’re joined again by Dave Mills, one-time TwickFolk stalwart who moved away last year. He’s asked for the opportunity to come back to the Patch to celebrate his 65th birthday with us. Who are we to refuse a party?
Sue Graves, one of the resident singers at TwickFolk, says: “All the music at TwickFolk is live and our singarounds give everyone a chance to sing, play an instrument, recite a poem or tell a story.
“If you just want to sit back and listen, that’s also fine. In fact listening, and paying attention to the words and music, is what an evening of folk is all about.
“Taking part in a singaround isn’t at all like an open mike session or performing on stage. There won’t be a microphone.
“We welcome musical contributions from everyone, young or old – and we will be encouraging everyone to join in with the choruses.”
Non-performers are welcome to come and there is no need to pre-book.
