A late change to our schedule giving you not just the finest in local folk talent but also the exquisite harmonies of our special guests. This singers’ night will feature a 40-minute set from Chapin-Wickwar, who were down from Cumbria to visit us a couple of months ago. We were so impressed by them, and they were so impressed by our audience that we’ve brought them back as soon as possible. Sue and Lisa met in 2013 and have been singing together ever since. Their début album ‘If…‘ was nominated for the FolkWords 2015 Album Awards for ‘Best Album from a Duo’. Here’s the title track, recorded at Florence Mine Arts Centre last year:

The first part of the evening will be another of our successful singers’ nights – giving our regulars a chance to perform on stage with amplification and lighting. September’s singaround was described by Sue as one of the best we’ve had, so we’re expecting big things in October.
