Sue_graves_completeFor our last event of the year, we have our annual Christmas Singaround, and once more we’ll be donating all of the admission money to Crisis at Christmas. Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. They are dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services and campaigning for change.

Bring a song or a carol and enjoy a mince pie or two and some snacks courtesy of The Cabbage Patch pub. TwickFolk singarounds are very informal…. there’s no booked guests or sound equipment. We usually sit in a circle and take it in turns to entertain each other. You can “pass” if you prefer, or make requests instead.

Sue Graves, one of the resident singers at TwickFolk, says: “All the music at TwickFolk is live and our singarounds give everyone a chance to sing, play an instrument, recite a poem or tell a story.

“If you just want to sit back and listen, that’s also fine. In fact listening, and paying attention to the words and music, is what an evening of folk is all about.

“We welcome musical contributions from everyone, young or old – and we will be encouraging everyone to join in with the choruses.”

Non-performers are welcome to come and there is no need to pre-book.
