TwickFolk first encountered Foreign Affairs at the Village Pump Festival in 2014. A year later at the same festival, they’d made a massive leap forward, not only in musicianship but in life experience which has brought depth their songwriting and performance.

Lawrence and Adam Purnell (accompanied in these videos by bassist Ben Sweeney) hail from Keynsham on the outskirts of Bristol. Lead singer Lawrence exudes a lot of Johnny Cash and a fair bit of Joe Strummer, along with a fine quiff and a great voice. Guitarist Adam makes their songs shine.

After releasing their First EP and two performances at Glastonbury last summer, “Foreign Affairs” have been on their first headline tour in France, where they were met with sold out shows. They performed at this years Country 2 Country festival at the o2 Arena and will be playing across the UK this summer with their Festival tour dates.

Between catchy choruses and close harmonies, you will ultimately hear an honest and raw country/rock sound, one that has inspired them over the years to create their own unique take on the genres.
