A regular onstage singers’ night with an extended set of rootstock blues from harmonica-whizz Ed Hopwood

Ed’s been playing music as long as he can remember and took up the harmonica at the age of 13 after hearing Howlin Wolf.

He brings together multi-instrumental skills to forge a sound that’s grounded in American roots styles with a significant British feel to the songwriting.

Whilst Ed’s music is firmly grounded in Blues and roots music, the songwriting is very much in the present and Ed’s blues is a living & breathing art, not a relic from the past.

Ed’s performances take him all over the country and previously to Sweden, switzerland and Ireland. Festivals appearances include Love Supreme, Purbeck, End Of The Road and countless Blues festivals including Kinsale and Maryport. In 2016 he entertained crowds on the beautiful Central Piazza at Festival no.6 and more recently Shambala and Port Eliot festivals.
